The Hay-U Hay Company was formed in the spring of 2000 and was founded by Doug and Laurie Carson. We set out on a mission to produce some of the finest horse hay available for the most discriminate horse owners.

After the formation of the company we began to seek out the initial property to launch our hay business. After several months of searching most of Eastern Nevada for just the right place to grow true horse lover's gourmet hay, we found just the place. Located in Central-Eastern Nevada, 27 miles south and west of Ely. This 350-acre ranch is at an elevation of almost 6000 feet. At this elevation the mild summer climate insures some of the most nutritious and tender grass/alfalfa mix hay available today in the Southwest. All of our irrigation water comes from natural springs located on Smith Creek just above the ranch. The soil is sandy loam from the 10,000' White Pine Mountains just a short distance to the west.

We have big plans for the spring of 2002. We are planning a major replanting of the grass/alfalfa mix fields to insure the highest quality horse feed available. We will also be developing additional new fields to meet the increased demand for high quality feed.

Serving our existing customers is our priority. However we do have limited quantities available for new customers. We sell both out of the stack or delivered. We sell in small quantities or large depending on availability and schedules.
